Boniface Gor
Founder/CEO
Boniface’s background taught him many things; two of these stand out in his life and work; resilient resourcefulness and empathetic effort. Consequently, though he boasts of a robust track record, in IT and graphic design, he now actively pursues profit with purpose.
Socially, he is a husband, the Father to three daughters and a son and a brother to four siblings. He owes his education foundation to the dedication of his mother who almost single-handedly raised him and his siblings on limited resources prioritizing the acquisition of an education. His social life has shaped his life work. The revelation of sexual abuse endured by his only sister, marked a turning point in Boniface’s career, leading him to commit himself to leveraging his digital and ICT skills to highlight the plight of women and girls struggling to grow into adulthood and have access to opportunities and resources that promote human flourishing.
Living and working among the Maasai in Kajiado, Boniface became well acquainted with how failings in information sharing were undermining the clamor for gender equality. On one hand, many of the organizations and actors working in this area are largely unknown and under or unappreciated. On the other hand, there is a disparity in the digital literacy levels among the women in the area, often with older women being less digitally literate than the younger ones. To mitigate these concerns, Boniface founded Dada Digital Initiative, to serve as the platform of choice for disseminating content focusing on women specifically in the marginalized communities.
Boniface is a Digital Analyst with over 20 years cumulative experience in the ICT sector, specifically in Digital Solutions. He is the Founder and CEO of Digimatt Solutions Limited, a digital creative agency that has been combining technology and creativity to build brands since 2011.
With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, he has a wealth of experience in systems analysis design and development, digital analysis and creative design that synergize data visualization, development, and presentation.
Lately, he has been involved extensively in climate action, tourism, and wildlife conservation sectors by helping in the transformation (through design and visualization) of various policy documents and reports. This has enhanced his experience and knowledge in packaging and disseminating information, which is an asset at Dada Digital Initiative.
Between 2015 and 2017, he volunteered as the National Coordinator for ONWARD, a youthful social action platform for a generation that seeks to influence change and impact lives with a membership of about 5,000 young people across the public universities in Kenya. Between 2005 and 2010, he worked for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA Kenya), an international humanitarian agency as the systems administrator and administrative assistant.
He uses his leisure time to support church-based youth mentorship programs through the Pathfinder, adventurer and Masterguide clubs.
