Dada Digital Initiative was privileged to partner with Kajiado County Government and other stakeholders in celebrating the IWD2023. The event was held at Ngong Catholic Church with women from Ngong.

With this year’s theme DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for gender equality, our Guest of Honour, First Lady Kajiado County H.E Edna Lenku, said that technology and innovation are powerful tools in promoting gender equality, especially to our rural communities such as women’s safety, healthcare, agriculture, education and access to finance.
Through the County Government and the office of the First Lady, Kajiado has committed to joining all women and empowering them through innovative technology.

“Gender is a cross-cutting issue, so is technology; we should not use technology to take us back by harassing women; let’s use technology to embrace and build each other,” Dada Digital’s CEO/Founder, Boniface Gor, said during the ceremony.
The ownership and use of digital tech have substantial potential for the economic empowerment of women and increasing gender equality.
